nkt cables lands subsea project

nkt cables has entered into a contract at a value of around 750 mDKK (100 mEUR). The contract includes armoured high- and medium voltage subsea cables and underground cables. Also the laying and installation work of cables and accessories is part of the solution that nkt cables has been chosen for. The cables will be manufactured at the new production facilities in Cologne.

“Winning this order confirms the strategic direction of nkt cables with its emphasis on providing solutions to ensure reliable and sustainable transmission networks and power supply onshore and offshore. And the order is a perfect example of the capabilities and opportunities embedded in our new high voltage factory in Cologne”, says Thomas Hofman-Bang, President and CEO of NKT Holding A/S.

The order will positively contribute to nkt cables’ earnings in 2010.
